There are a few different ways to do this. Finally, you will receive an email with your download links at the email address you used when registering for your account. You can access the files by clicking on the link in that email. Once you click one of these links, you will be redirected to this screen. To download your file, click on the file name. The file will automatically download to your computer.
Files from the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop are delivered in zipped format and need to be unzipped before they can be used in your cutting software. To do this, right mouse click on the downloaded file and select extract all. This will bring up a dialog box. If you click extract, it will create a new folder containing the SVG file, a photo of the file and the terms of use document.
A note on the SVG file. Some computers make the SVG file look like an internet or html file. In the case here you can see my computer makes it look like a Google Chrome Document. Double click the design to bring it onto your mat. This is normal. You can turn the lines on. Once your design is ready to cut, select your design and then click the send icon located in the top right-hand corner.
You need to select cut. This turns on the cut lines and now you can send the design to your Silhouette. I hope this tutorial was helpful and you start using SVG files with your cutter! It scares me! Thank you! Hi Starla! Thank you. The studio format of the design should appear in your Library. Log into your Silhouette Design Store account.
I have the deluxe edition software. Thanks so much. Kristen, Would you please email these directions to me? I so confused trying to go back and forth. I will do much better with a printed version. Thank you so much for explaining these steps in detail!
Hi, how can I print these instructions so I can look at them while doing this. Easier for me to read along as Im doing it. Thank you, first instructions I have found I understand, at least I think so.
LOL or do you only email which is good too. May I have this PDF how to as well? May I have these instructions on pdf too please? Your instructions are so easy to follow. I have to have them in my permanent files!
If you decide not to upgrade at this time, my newer designs include DXF files which will work with the Basic Edition of Studio. Is that the only option, download to cruicut and silhouette? Can we download to our MAC and use it from there. Once they have been saved to your computer and the zip has been extracted, you can certainly open the files in any program that supports SVGs, such as Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Corel Draw, etc.
Hi Beckey, It sounds like you are looking at the Preview file which is the only one that has a watermark. As explained in this post, some computers may display SVG file thumbnails as web browser icons Internet Explorer, Chrome, etc , however they are actually SVG files and should still upload correctly in your cutting software. Hi Cindy, I have just re-activated your link so you can try downloading again.
