Check the bobbin, bobbin case and hook. Look for lint and dirt. Clean and oil it again. If it has been stored, it might be dirty. I had the same problem when I got my machine. I thought my needle was broken and letting thread slip out. A "new-to-me" sewing machine arrived at my home yesterday, inside a wooden sewing cabinet. Using Google image search, I matched it to the photo on your blog of the vintage White I look forward to exploring this machine's capabilities, and am glad to have discovered your blog.

But be careful because too much heat can damage the cams. I fell in love tonight when my husband brought in the from his Parents house. Been on the net but have no luck finding a manual. Please tell me someone can help find a manual for the Serial ? Rita from Montana Mark's my husband who helps to maintain my sewing machine.
